SEND
Every young person, whatever their circumstances should experience excellent careers education to help them to understand the options open to them, thus allowing them to make the best choices for their future.
Supporting special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) schools, their students and their families is a key priority for the HOTSW Careers Hub.
We help careers leaders to design and deliver innovative careers education programmes tailored to the needs of young people with SEND in both specialist and mainstream settings, ensuring that all young people have the opportunities, skills and experience to achieve their potential.
Our work to make careers education as high impact as possible for young people with SEND includes:
- Specialist guidance and resources
- Training
- Events
- Dedicated community of best practice sharing
- Network of business volunteers who are experienced at working with young people with SEND
- Specialised SEND Enterprise Coordinators
