Jenny Salmon

In my joint role as Operational Hub Lead & Enterprise Co-Ordinator at the Somerset Careers Hub, I work across a number of our projects, as well as supporting a caseload of schools. My passion lies in empowering students and supporting our local young community as they take their next steps in life. I am keen to develop children’s links between what they learn in school and the skills required in the world of work.  I am delighted that we were chosen as one of 4 hubs to continue the primary project I initially led when joining the hub; with Dream Big Somerset launching in 2025

With nearly 20 years’ experience in Education, I have served as a Secondary School Teacher, a Pathways Mentor, and a Sixth Form Tutor. My background has provided me with valuable insights into guiding students on their educational journeys. Prior to that, I coordinated advertising campaigns for a Somerset Newspaper.

Beyond my professional life, I am a creative soul with a love for baking and sewing. I cherish moments spent with my family, particularly outside enjoying nature, and creating memories together.
